Breakfast at the Lake

It snowed here early this week. I want over to the lake to see what was going on. Lots, it turns out!



It's hard to ignore the excitement I feel whenever I see a bald eagle....


It was a dreary morning. Seeing the Great Blue Heron reminded me of some important points, the most important of which is this: The birds are in the weather 24/7/365. We get to ignore the weather...


I have a lot of images of places with no people in them. I need to think about that some...


I'm generally not a big fan of bird pics, especially when they are so achievable with local birds. This image was interesting to me because I got it while his feeet were back. Pretty cool!

Breakfast at Silver Lake. One of these is not like the others, one of these...

Best guess is the one taking a bath is a cross between a domesticated wood duck and a domesticated mallard. Only now he's not so domesticted. Lots of differences between him and the mallards.

Points of view

The black and white trees are from a farm on my drive to work. One of the trees was here before, last summer I think.
I liked the colors and shapes in the sky and smokestack reflection.

It was foggy and frosty here the other day when I did this photo. I liked how the frost had formed on these leaves and berries.

Studio Fun

Some friends came by a few weeks back for an impromptu family photo session. We had some fun doing these shots. I like the last one a lot. I stole the idea from another photographer fair and square. It's pretty much what the 00's are all about!

Shoot with Miss LoLo yesterday

Here is a pic of the studio I like the lighting better using my off camera flash (camera left) along with my studio flashes.


Probably my last cage shoot! LoLo had a cute kitty outfit to try out for this


Miss LoLo got a new 42 inch flat panel TV for Christmas. Out with the old, and in with the new. It'll be interesting to see what kind of whining and wailing will go on when analog signals are no longer broadcast in a month or so.




LoLo did this kind of Japanese Schoolgirl with a sword concept.
The shoot was a lot of fun!
