Kristel and Andrea from Last weeks session

I finally have a fully operational computer, so I can do some editing. Lots of great stuff from these two!

Look at those eyes!

Andrea looks great in a beater! Not sure I like the grey on either side of the photo...

3 day honey-do Presidents day project

We spent the weekend putting up tile backsplash in the kitchen. It wasn't so much hard as pains taking. We think it's looking pretty good now. We got done doing the tiling today, and will do the grouting and stuff sometime this week. It's going to look great when it's grouted and caulked. (That's an inside family joke).

Beware of a fat man with a crow bar. I'm just sayin'.
That piece of trim had to come out from under the granite over the sink. We laid out the tile on the island to make sure how it was going to look installed.

The red lines are from a level. That first tile was the longest one to put in! We measured and talked and measured and talked till we were sure we got it right and hadn't missed anything. Then, the only thing left to do was start!

Intermediate shot. The green things are spacers

All done, except for the grouting and caulking.

I have to give props out to the folks at Lowes. We had borrowed a tile saw, but it was balky and I wasn't experienced enough to figure out the issues. We talked to Home Depot and they would rent us a saw for $65 a day. Lowes wouldn't rent them, but they would cut the tiles for us as long as we had bought them there. Lets see... no $65 a day charge, no wasted tiles from not having used a real tile saw, no chance of severed digits, no chance of feeling stupid for taking 3 tries to get it right, and friendly people to do it. That took about 8 seconds to figure out what we were going to to. It took several trips to the store, but it was so worth it! If you need to do Home Improvement stuff, check out Lowes!

This took a while, but I got it done!

This is Miss Lolo with a special effect. This is similar to an earlier version, but she's not all covered in red. I like this better.

Memories of things that didn't happen

I messed with this a little. Now it looks like a really old photo to me. I like the shapes...

Notes for a shoot

I'm thinking about doing a shoot soon, and wanted to check some stuff out near Little Creek, right on the shore of the Delaware Bay. These are some of the things I saw that might be useful backgrounds. Watch the blog and see what develops. Get it? I kill myself sometimes!

Andrea and Kristel at the Bridge and in the Studio

Andrea you've seen before. She brought her friend Kristel down and we did a shoot in the studio and up at the bridge. We had a great time and got some cool images. This is one of 3 posts for proofs from the day. It was about 50 degrees during this shoot. With a 20 or 30 mph wind. Guess which model suffered most for her art. It was pretty darn cold by sundown. We were all glad to get back in the cars!

Last of the lake shots tonight

Summer or winter. This shot always comes close to what I want......

I did some stuff so it reminds me of a memory

Almost the Last of the lake pics

Taken from the dam at Silver Lake, in Dover.

Another top of the dam shot.

I liked this in Black and white. It's supposed to bring back memories

Let it roll off you like water off a ducks back, or so the saying goes. This is "one of these is not like the others" day on the Freakin Artist Blog!

Breakfast at the Lake

It snowed here early this week. I want over to the lake to see what was going on. Lots, it turns out!

It's hard to ignore the excitement I feel whenever I see a bald eagle....

It was a dreary morning. Seeing the Great Blue Heron reminded me of some important points, the most important of which is this: The birds are in the weather 24/7/365. We get to ignore the weather...

I have a lot of images of places with no people in them. I need to think about that some...

I'm generally not a big fan of bird pics, especially when they are so achievable with local birds. This image was interesting to me because I got it while his feeet were back. Pretty cool!
