I did this a little differently from the earlier version. It reminds me of European Old Masters paintings. I'm not comparing myself to a EOM, but thats my first reaction to the photo.
I liked how this tiny little stand of yellow and green was surrounded by brown, dead stuff. The daffodils are such a pleasing sight as winter turns to spring. They re-affirm life to me. Here, they are soaked in the fog/dew and still carry on...
This is both square and black and white. Is is, therefore, by definition, ART. Actually, I liked how small this tractor looked against the thick wall of fog. Thats a big @ss tractor!
I couldn't decide between black and white or color
I did these from the back yard at my house. I loved the blues and the poofy white clouds. The trees look like nets waiting for cotton candy to catch on them...
on my mind for several weeks. I knew I wanted to get the incredibly green grass, with a band of trees and deep blue sky... This morning started out as a foggy mess. I'll post pics of that later, but this after noon it really cleared up, with pretty poofy clouds in the sky. I knew I had to try for this.. and here it is!
I wanted to get some pics highlighting the green cover crop on this farm on my way home. I thought I'd dry zooming and clicking at once. I kind of liked this. Edit: I took down the gross animal pic...
I love how the beam of light in the back goes onto the nightstand, and the symetry of the cell. I liked how the window was up in the corner, and the bed back in the corner.
Boy that's some strong cleanser! ripped the bowl apart!
I liked the echoed shape of the cabinet and the door.
I did a workshop today at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia with Dave Tejada. Andrea was one of the models Dave chose for the workshop. She was a trooper, as always. It was frickin cold in there! The top shot was one Dave set up, and the bottom two were ones I grabbed with her while we were between set ups. These are pretty much straight from the camera.
If I'm not at Chipotle, or thinking about it, I spend way too much time with my camera, or on the net learning about and talking about photography. You might as well benefit from all that time!
